st. martin's parish church:

interior renovation and liturgical redesign with astec b.500 and b.1000

the pews in the rear of st. martin's parish church was removed and a mobile glass wall with astec sliding door fitting b.1000 was installed to separate the space below the gallery from the sanctuary. this offers a retreat option for families during the service and a space to come together for tea and coffee after Sunday service. eight glass panels measuring 3.5 m in height are arranged on a 13-m long dual b.1000 track. these panels can be opened and closed with minimal effort to provide different configurations for varying requirements. special clamps are used to prevent the collision of the glass elements and to ensure a defined clearance for pinch protection.

astec's swinging door fitting b.500 in connection with a floor spring is also employed in the redesign of the side entrances and the confessionals. the uniform design of the wooden structures provides a steady and calm view.
