interstuhl arena:
sanitary facilities with dividing wall system astec s.200
interstuhl, a world-wide leader in the manufacture of office furniture with headquarters in tieringen, germany, realized a multi-functional showroom and communications building based on plans by werner sobek and team. in collaboration with architects waeschle in nearby balingen, a unique structure with impressive architectural features was created.
the building's sanitary facilities were designed with lsg glazing nearly stretching from floor to ceiling, thereby ensuring utmost discretion (70 mm clearance to floor and ceiling). the glass elements are connected using the dividing wall system s.200 in matt, brushed stainless steel by astec gmbh, also of tieringen. what sets this system apart is its special clamping technology which keeps drilling into the glass panels to a bare minimum.
in the ladies' restroom facilities, a double and a single cubicle were created, while the men's restroom facilities comprise a triple cubicle and a floor-to-ceiling privacy screen in front of the urinals.
